yesod: "Each time the “light” descends from it’s original source on high it is changed, or transformed. One might focus on it becoming quantitatively different in this has an element of truth because the previous sefirot above it retains some of the light, because not 100% of it light is transmitted to the sefirot below it.

An analogy from human physiology that I would like to propose is that some of the light which filters through the upper sefirot is retained by the sefirot above it in order to sustain itself, much like the heart"
